A “hotspot” is a mixture of an an infection, allergic response, and self trauma. It could begin as a small wound, hive, sting, tight collar, scratch, allergic response to meals, fleas, pollens, or grasses, then get itched or licked into a massive wound. If the canine is not too painful, you may wash the realm with heat cleaning soap (Baby shampoo or daybreak) and heat water . Then you may apply antibiotic ointment and cortisone ointmant. If the wound is painful or making your pet sick, get it checked out by a vet. These are solely strategies for non permanent remedy. You can even give benadryl and aspirin
